Ms. Lees is a Managing Director at US Capital Advisors. Prior to joining the Houston Retirement Group, Rae spent 11 years in U.S. Capital Advisors’ Institutional Client Group where she was responsible for servicing institutional clients focused on the energy sector.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Lees was with UBS Institutional Equities group covering institutional clients focused on the energy sector and before that, with AG Edwards covering Texas institutional accounts. Prior to her years spent in Texas, Ms. Lees worked in Denver in Institutional Equity Sales for Stifel Nicolaus and D.A. Davidson and ran the Corporate Services departments for both Tucker Anthony and Hanifen, Imhoff, Inc. In Corporate Services, she managed Corporate Repurchase Programs, Executive 144 Sales, Employee Stock Option Programs and was charged with raising capital for companies off S3/Shelf Registrations. She began her career by graduating from Smith Barney’s sales-and-trading training program in New York City and then working as a Listed Equity Sales trader there for four years starting on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
Ms. Lees holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Finance from Trinity University and an MBA (International Finance) from Vanderbilt University.
Outside of the office, Rae enjoys skiing, mountain biking, fly fishing and competing in hunter/jumper equestrian events. Her charitable work includes the Epilepsy Foundation, Lymphoma, Leukemia & Multiple Myeloma Society, Texas Children’s Hospital and The Landing. She is a native of Colorado but has been living in Houston with her two teenage boys for the past 15 years.
