Mr. West is a Senior Managing Director and Founding Advisor at U.S Capital Advisors (USCA).  He began his career in the financial services industry at PaineWebber after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1994.  Subsequently, he moved on to Merrill Lynch where he was selected to provide leadership and guidance to new financial advisors in the Professional Development Program (PDP).

He joined USCA in 2010 from UBS Financial Services where he completed the required coursework and was selected into the Portfolio Management Program (PMP).

Matt focuses on comprehensive financial, retirement and wealth management planning almost exclusively for retirees. Having spent his entire career in the financial services sector he recognizes the importance of planning-based wealth management.

Matt and his wife, Allison, have three children.  They enjoy playing sports, spending time outdoors and rooting for the Astros, Texans and Rockets.
